Heating and hot water
Reinforced insulation is placed upon the exterior layer of construction to minimalise thermal losses. Windows utilise double-glazing that absorbs 70 per cent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Water heating is provided by roof mounted solar panels attached to a 250 litre hot water cylinder that ensures free hot water on most sunny days but with electric immersion element for use when overcast. Provision is also made for installation of photovoltaic plant, which can significantly reduce electricity costs.
In the living area is located a pellet fired boiler and water heater linked to fuel saving thermostatic valve regulated radiators throughout the property.

Waterproofing of the walls ensures durability and the prevention of fungi/ mould appearing within the building, which can cause serious health problems.
